Get to Know Pastor Brian

Coffee order: A mocha—or, as Brian calls it, “hot chocolate coffee.”

Favorite things to do: Spending time with his family, playing pickleball, watching his Buckeyes play, and getting in some PlayStation whenever he gets the chance.

Something you should know: ADHD means there is a very real possibility he walked into the room to do one thing and is now doing four completely different things.

Saturday in the fall: If Ohio State is playing, Brian is watching. His schedule will be planned accordingly.

A completely unnecessary fact about Brian: Give him a problem to solve, something to fix, or a project to figure out and he will become entirely too invested in it.

What you’ll hear him say a lot: “Let’s be real…” “Can I be real…”

What he loves about Magnify: The people. Watching someone walk through the doors unsure if church is really for them and eventually realizing, I belong here.

Brian is the Lead Pastor of Magnify Church, but around here that means a whole lot more than preaching on Sundays. From leading the church and dreaming about where God is taking us next, to developing leaders, caring for people, and occasionally moving things that are probably way too heavy to move by himself—Brian tends to have his hands in a little bit of everything.

But underneath all of it is something pretty simple: Brian loves people and wants them to know that they don’t have to clean themselves up before they come to Jesus—or before they come to church. His heart is to build a church where real people can show up with real struggles, real questions, and real pasts and find a place to belong, grow, and discover who God has called them to be.

Brian and his wife, Victoria, have been married for over 20 years, have 4 amazing Children, and have spent much of their lives serving in ministry together. They love their family, love their church, and genuinely believe the best days for Magnify are still ahead.

If you’ve ever heard Brian preach, you already know he’s probably going to tell you more about his life than you asked to know. He loves preaching the Bible in a way that is real, practical, sometimes funny, occasionally uncomfortable, and actually matters when you walk out the doors on Sunday.

He believes church should be a safe place to be real, but not a safe place to stay stuck. No perfect people. No pretending. Just real people following a real Jesus and allowing Him to change their lives.

And when Brian isn’t preaching, studying, meeting with someone, or working on whatever the next thing is for Magnify, there’s a pretty good chance he’s drinking coffee, playing pickleball, spending time with his family, or convincing himself that whatever new project he just started will “only take a few minutes.”

Pastor Victoria

Get to Know Victoria

Coffee order: An iced caramel macchiato—and preferably from 7 Brews. Victoria may actually love coffee more than Pastor Brian, which is saying something.

Favorite things to do: Crafting, doing her nails, anything artsy, and watching an alarming amount of the ID channel.

Her superpower: Finding a deal. Victoria can thrift, bargain hunt, and track down a sale with a level of determination that should probably be studied. She saves Pastor Brian so much money they’re probably going broke.

Her other child: Lucy, her little Maltese. Saying Victoria “loves” Lucy probably doesn’t adequately describe the situation.

Something you should know: Victoria is organized. Like, organized organized. There is a place for everything—and if you put it back in the wrong place, she will know.

What matters most to her: Jesus and her family. She loves both fiercely, and so much of who Victoria is flows out of those two things.

Victoria is the Worship Pastor at Magnify Church, but her heart for ministry goes way beyond what happens on a stage. She loves people—and she loves them hard. She’s the kind of person who will celebrate with you when things are good, sit with you when things are falling apart, and probably tell you the truth you didn’t necessarily want to hear somewhere in between.

Victoria grew up in church and has been around ministry her entire life. Her grandparents were pastors, her dad is a pastor, and she started singing in church when she was young. But for Victoria, worship has never just been about singing a song. She genuinely loves Jesus and wants people to experience Him for themselves.

If you know Victoria, you know she is REAL. She’s outgoing, caring, sweet, sarcastic, funny, incredibly organized, and just spicy enough to keep everybody on their toes. She’ll tell you like it is—but she’ll love you while she does it.

Victoria and her husband, Pastor Brian, have been married for over 20 years, have 4 amazing Children, and have spent much of their lives serving in ministry together. She loves her family fiercely, and being a mom is one of the greatest joys of her life.

Her heart for people also extends beyond the church. Victoria currently works as a first-grade teacher’s assistant and is finishing her degree to become a teacher. She absolutely loves kids, loves teaching, and loves getting to be a part of helping them learn, grow, and discover who they are.

Whether she’s leading worship, loving on somebody who needs it, working with kids, or making sure Pastor Brian knows that the way he organized something is completely wrong, Victoria brings her whole heart to whatever she does.

Pastor Nick

Get to Know Pastor Nick
Favorite things to do: Spending time with Heather, creating new designs, experimenting in the kitchen, working with technology, and dreaming up projects that usually become much larger than originally intended.
Pastor Nick’s coffee order: Are we talking Matilda’s in Sanford or somewhere generic? At Matilda’s, it’s either a Snowball, Red Raspberry Cheesecake, or Maple Blondie. Anywhere else, he’s gonna stick with a mocha - and judge your coffee heavily based on it.
Current cooking obsession: Anything he can put on the Traeger. Nick is still relatively new to pellet grilling, but that has not stopped him from planning enough recipes to feed the church for several months.
His superpower: Taking a big idea and figuring out how to make it happen. Whether it involves ministry, technology, design, business, or an oddly complicated spreadsheet,
A completely unnecessary fact about Nick: He is an Eagle Scout - which may explain why he believes almost any problem can be solved with preparation, creativity, and the right equipment.
What you’ll hear him say a lot: “So, here’s the deal…” “Okay, hear me out…” or “But what if we…” All three phrases usually mean another idea has just entered the conversation.
What he loves about Magnify: The people and the freedom to be real. Nick loves that Magnify is a place where people can show up as they are, discover that they belong, and grow into who God has called them to be.

Nick serves as the Executive Pastor of Magnify Church, but around here that means being involved in a little bit of everything. From helping turn big-picture vision into everyday action and building systems that help ministry run smoothly, to preaching, communications, technology, and creative projects - Nick usually has his hands in several things at once.

Underneath all of it is a simple desire: Nick wants people to know they have a place in the church and a purpose in God’s Kingdom. Since answering God’s call to ministry at 17, he has served in youth ministry and church leadership with a heart for helping people move beyond a Sunday-only faith and discover what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life.

Nick and his wife, Heather, love serving the local church together. He is also the founder of Faith You Can Wear, a faith-based apparel brand. When he isn’t dreaming up his next ministry or business project, he can usually be found grilling or baking something new—and probably already thinking about the project after that.

Nick also has a heart for building community among ministry leaders, especially those serving the next generation. That passion led him and Pastor Brian to found the Sanford Youth Network. Through the network, they hope to encourage and equip youth leaders while creating opportunities for the body of Christ to come together and help students know and follow Jesus.
